Silicone Scar Anchors help minimize and prevent hypertrophic and keloid scars from forming by limiting the movement of the skin so the scar can heal smooth and flat. Washable and reusable anchor strips can be worn under your FlexFit™ bra following an under-the-muscle breast augmentation.

Our biocompatible, medical-grade active silicone helps reduce and balance the production of collagen at the source, and keeps the skin hydrated to help prevent scars from forming. Designed with an adhesive that’s gentle on your skin so you can remove, wash, and reuse without causing trauma to the incision site. The sheet thickness (1.5 mm/0.06 inch) helps flatten the scar and prevent wrinkling on the skin.

APPLICATION CONSIDERATIONS 

  1. There is not a fixed application time as it depends on the type and nature of the scar. Its is recommended to continue the application of sheets for at least 2 months. 
  2. Once applied, the same sheet can typically be used for 2 weeks. 
  3. Once the device stops sticking, or deteriorates leaving tiny lumps of silicone on the skin after removal, replace it and apply a new sheet. 

RECOMMENDATIONS 

  1. Proper cleaning and storage of the sheet will increase its life. 
  2. For cleaning purposes, be sure that you use a towel or cloth that does not detach threads. Do not use paper towels as they can get stuck on the adhesive part. 
  3. Do not apply extra tension when applying the device to the skin as this can lead to irritation. 
  4. Before applying the sheets, avoid using creams or any other ointment on the scar area in order to avoid lack of adherence. 
  5. When storing and reusing a sheet, reapply the protective transparent plastic film to the sheet before storing. 
  6. The silicone sheets are waterproof when properly applied, however, they can be removed while bathing to prolong durability. 

WARNINGS 

  1. Do not expose the scar to sunlight. 
  2. Do not use an individual sheet for more than 4 weeks. 
  3. Non-sterile product. Do not use on open wounds. 
  4. If you are allergic to silicone, do not use. If a rash appears, stop using the sheets. If the rash persists consult your doctor or physician. 
  5. Do not apply the device on skin affected by acne.
